Anima: Our New Appointment Request System

Lighthouse Group Practice is introducing a new way to request appointments and help from the practice using Anima.

From Friday 1st May 2026 at 8am, all patients will now be asked to submit a request, which will be reviewed by our clinical team to ensure you are seen by the right person, in the right way, at the right time.

What’s changing?

Previously, patients accessed our online services using two separate links:

  • One for urgent requests
  • One for routine requests

With Anima, this has changed.

There is now one single access point

All requests — whether urgent or routine — are now submitted through one simple online form.

You do not need to decide how urgent your problem is.

You tell us what you need — we decide how best to help you.

How it works

Step 1 – Tell us what you need – Complete a quick online form (or we can do it for you)

Step 2 – We review your request – Our clinical team assesses every request

Step 3 – We respond – You will receive advice, an appointment, or signposting to the right service

Important information

  • All requests are reviewed the same day
  • Patients are prioritised based on clinical need
  • You may not always need a GP appointment
  • You will always receive a response and care plan

Submitting a request does not automatically mean you will be given a same-day appointment.

When demand is high

At times, demand may exceed available appointments.

If this happens:

  • You may be placed on a managed waiting list
  • You will receive clear safety-netting advice
  • Your request will remain under active review
